Frequently asked questions

Which DAWs does THE ALTAR work with? Any Mac host that loads VST3 or Audio Unit instruments, including Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Studio One and Reaper. There’s also a Standalone app.

Does it work on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4)? Yes. THE ALTAR runs natively on Apple Silicon and on Intel Macs.

Is there a Windows version? Not yet. THE ALTAR is Mac only.

How many computers can I use it on? Up to 3 of your own Macs per purchase.

Are updates free? Yes. New versions and sound packs show up in My Account > Downloads at no extra cost.

Does THE ALTAR need the internet? Only to download it. THE ALTAR itself plays offline.

Can I use THE ALTAR in songs I release, stream or sell? Yes, royalty-free, in your own music productions and live performances. You may not resell or redistribute the sounds themselves (see the license).

What about refunds? Because THE ALTAR is a digital product, all sales are final. If THE ALTAR doesn’t install or run on your Mac and we can’t fix it together, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunded orders lose access to the downloads.
